Gary Carpernter je študiral kompozicijo pri Johnu Lambertu na Kraljevem kolidžu za glasbo. Deloval je na Nizozemskem in v Nemčiji, v njegovem oposu najdemo štiri opere, pet muzikalov in radijsko glasbeno dramo The One Alone z damo Iris Murdoch. Napisal je glasbo za animirane in celovečerne filme, balete (predvsem za Nizozemsko gledališče Dans Theater) ter zavidljivo število koncertnih skladb, med njimi naj omenimo Koncert za rog, napisan za Stephena Stirlinga in Filharmonični orkester BBC ter Sonatinas (Koncert za altovski saksofon in komorni orkester) za Christiana Forshawa in Ansambel 10:10.

    Bil je umetniški direktor in/ali aranžer-orkestrator filmov, kot sta Mož iz protja / The Wicker Man (1973) in Štoparski vodnik po galaksiji / The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy. Za delo Van Assendelft’s Vermeer za klavikord je prejel prvo nagrado na tekmovanju za kompozicijo britanskega združenja za promocijo študija klavikorda – British Clavichord Society (2004) in je bil v ožjem izboru Britanske nagrade za kompozicijo – British Composer Award (2005). Njegova skladba Azaleas za harfo, violino in violončelo je v Benetkah prejela nagrado Victor Salvi (2004) in je bila zmagovalka Britanske nagrade za kompozicijo (2006) v komorni kategoriji. Prejel je nagrade v Monaku in na Dunaju ter štipendijo in nagrado Umetniškega sveta ter Fundacij Holst in Gulbenkian.

    NMC je izdala njegovo portretno zgoščenko Die Flimmerkiste. Pesmi žalosti in pietetnosti/ Songs Of Sadness And Piety za vokale, saksofon, orgle in tolkala so objavljene na zgoščenki Renouncement Christiana Forshawa in Marking Time za basetni klarinet na zgočenki Prism Marka Simpsona.

    Med zadnjimi deli so: The Listening Project Symphony (Radio 4, Filharmonični orkester BBC, 2012 – nomininacija za Nagrado Evrope, 2013), Fred in Ginger (Londonski simfonični orkester, dirigent Daniel Harding, 2011), Koncert za fagot (Alan Pendlebury, Kraljevi filharmonični orkester iz Liverpoola, dirigent Vasilij Petrenko, 2011), Klavirski trio (Fournier Trio, londonska dvorana Wigmore, 2011, nominacija za nagrado Kraljevega filharmoničnega združenja, 2012) in Niederau (2011), ki ga je naročil flavtni trio Tempest ter ga izvedel več kot tridesetkrat doma in v tujini. SET – Koncert za tenorski saksofon in orkester so februarja 2014 v Manchestru premierno izvedli saksofonist Iain Ballamy in Filharmonični orkester ter dirigent HK Gruber. The Food Of Love, niz dvanajstih Shakespearovih pesmi v štirih knjigah za zabor in klavir, je naročilo Sklada Shakespearovega rojstega kraja (Shakespeare Birthplace Trust) v počastitev 450-letnice Shakespearovega rojstva (1564–2014) in 400-letnice smrti (1616–2016). Gary je junija 2014 v Manchestru aranžiral in režiral Satie in Blue, prvo celovečerno prireditev za big band.

    Gary Carpenter studied composition under John Lambert at the Royal College of Music. He has lived in Holland and Germany and has written four operas, five musicals and a radio music drama–The One Alone–with Dame Iris Murdoch as well as animated and live action film scores, several ballets (mainly for Nederlands Dans Theater) and a large amount of concert music including a horn concerto for Stephen Stirling and the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, and Sonatinas (a concerto for alto saxophone and chamber orchestra) for Christian Forshaw and Ensemble 10:10.

    He has been musical director and/or arranger-orchestrator on many films including The Wicker Man (1973) and The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy. His Van Assendelft’s Vermeer for clavichord won the British Clavichord Society Composition Competition (2004) and was shortlisted for a British Composer Award (2005), whilst his Azaleas for harp, violin and cello received a Victor Salvi Award in Venice (2004) and won the British Composer Award (2006) in the chamber category. He has also won prizes in Monaco and Vienna and received bursaries and awards from the Arts Council and the Holst and Gulbenkian Foundations.

    A portrait CD, Die Flimmerkiste, is released on NMC. His Songs Of Sadness And Piety for voices, saxophone, organ & percussion appears on Christian Forshaw’s CD Renouncement, and his Marking Time for basset clarinet appears on Mark Simpson’s Prism CD, also for NMC.

    Recent works include The Listening Project Symphony (Radio 4, BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, 2012 – nominated for Prix Europa 2013), Fred and Ginger (London Symphony Orchestra, Daniel Harding, 2011), Bassoon Concerto (Alan Pendlebury, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Vasily Petrenko, 2011), Piano Trio (Fournier Trio, Wigmore Hall 2011, Royal Philharmonic Society Prize nomination 2012) and Niederau (2011) which its commissioner, Tempest Flute Trio, have performed over 30 times both here and abroad. His SET - Concerto for Tenor Saxophone and Orchestra was premiered in Manchester with Iain Ballamy (sax), Martin France (drum kit) and the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by HK Gruber (February 2014). The Food Of Love, a sequence of 12 Shakespeare songs in four books for choirs and piano commissioned by the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, are being premiered to celebrate the anniversaries of the Shakespeare’s birth (1564–2014) and death (1616–2016). In a new departure, Gary arranged and directed Satie In Blue, an evening long entertainment for big band first performed in Manchester (June 2014).


 

 

  Airborne extended je bil ustanovljen leta 2013 kot veččlanska različica ansambla Airborne, da bi lahko izvajali repertoar za harfo, čembalo, flavto in kljunaste flavte, repertoar, ki je leta 1992 nastal za italijanski ansambel Alter Ego. Za Airborne extended so pisali skladateljice in skladatelji, kot so Hannes Kerschbaumer, Paolo Rimoldi, Bernhard Lang, Caroline Profanter, Dana Probst, Sylvie Lacroix, Joanna Wozny, Fernando Riederer, Wolfgang Mitterer, Bernhard Geigl, Elisabeth Harnik, Tomasz Skweres, Eduard Demetz, Alexander Kaiser, Matthias Kranebitter, Margareta Ferek-Petric, Elisabeth Schimana, Manuel Zwerger, Ming Wang, Mirela Ivcevic, Clemens Gadenstätter in Mathias Schmidhammer.

 

    Čembalistka Sonja Leipold, rojena v Beljaku, je študirala flavto in klavir na salzburškem Mozarteumu ter čembalo in basso continuo na Univerzi za glasbo na Dunaju. Kot solistka, kot basso continuo ter članica Airborne extended nastopa na uveljavljenih festivalih v Evropi in Aziji.

    Za svoj program ‘pogled na čembalo’ je prejela nagrado avstijskega Ministrstva za kulturo, leta 2011 je prejela nagrado na mednarodnem tekmovanju čembalistov v Bologni, 2012. nagrado na tekmovanjih Fidelio ter Annelie de man (Bosch/sodobni čembalo). Leta 2013 je bila nagrajena s štipendijo zaradi preučevanja baročne glasbe in zaradi doprinosa k razvoju sodobnega repertuarja za čembalo. Ustanovila je ansambel Les roses sauvages, ki izvaja dela skladateljic 17. in 18. stoletja. V sezoni 2016/2017 je bil njen duo Ovocutters

(čembalo-akordeon) uradni avstrijski ambasador za sodobno glasbo. Sonja Leipold deluje kot korepetitorica in profesorica za komorno glasbo na IZAM v Linzu, na Baročni akademiji Austra, ISA Vienna, in v gledališču Theater an der Wien. Sodeluje pri filmskih produkcijah in nastopa z orkestri in ansambli, kot so Dolce risonanza, Capella Leopoldina, Dunajski simfonični orkester, Dunajski komorni orkester ...

    Leta 2017 je bila članica izvršnega odbora avstrijske ISCM. Od leta 2015 poučuje na Univerzi za glasbo in gledališče na Dunaju.

    Eva Leonie Fegers (roj. 1987, Mönchengladbach) je pričela z igranjem na kljunasto flavto pri petih letih, kasneje je študirala klavir, violino, violo, flavto in petje. Med letoma 2007 in 2012 je študirala pri Dorothee Oberlinger na salzburškem Mozarteumu, kjer je z odliko diplomirala iz kljunaste flavte ter instrumentalne in vokalne pedagogike. Leta 2017 je zaključila študij kljunaste pri Carsten Eckert na Univerzi za glasbo in gledališče na Dunaju.

   Je prejemnica številnih nagrad na tekmovanjih ter predana komorna glasbenica, članica številnih ansamblov za staro ali sodobno glasbo, med njimi naj omenimo ansambel Organic Opera, ki se ukvarja predvsem z glasbo 16. in 17. stoletja, kvintet kljunastih flavt Golden Square, za izvajanje glasbe angleške renesanse ...

    Kot solistka je nastopila z ansambli, kot so Hofkapelle iz Münchna, Ensemble 1700, baročni orkester La Folia in Tonkünstlerorchester. Udeležila se je mojstrskih tečajev pri Walterju van Hauweju, Hanu Tolu, Paulu Leenhoutsu, Lorenzu Cavasantiju, Keesu Boekeu, Matthiasu Weilenmannu, Reinhardu Goebelu in Trevorju Pinnocku.

    Poučuje kljunasto flavto na dunajski Glasbeni akademiji Johann Sebastian Bach; tam se ukvarja tudi s posebej nadarjenimi študenti.

 

    Doris Nicoletti, rojena v Gradcu, je študirala flavto na Konservatoriju J. M. Hauerja v dunajskem Neustadtu, na Univerzi za glasbo na Dunaju in na CNSMDL (Državnem konservatoriju za glasbo in ples) v Lyonu. Udeležila se je številnih akademij, kot so akademija Luzernskega festivala, Acanthes, akademija Ansambla Modern, poletni tečaji za sodobno glasbo v Darmstadtu, mednarodna akademija Impuls, Jeunesse Modern in obiskovala mojstrske tečaje pri vrhunskih flavtistih.

    Je ustanovna članica ansamblov Platypus (Dunaj), Mesostics (Paris), Alumni Luzernskega festivala (Švica) in Dua Soufflé (Dunaj), nastopa tudi v različnih orkestrih in komornih ansamblih. Kot nadomestna glasbenica je nastopila s Klangforum Wien in Ansamblom PHACE na koncertih v Lincoln centru v New Yorku, Berlinski filharmoniji in

Koncertnih hišah v Berlinu in na Dunaju ter na renomiranih festivalih, kot so Salzburški festival, Easter festival v Hamburg in Wien Modern. Od leta 2014 je profesorica za flavto na Univerzi za glasbo in gledališče na Dunaju.

 

    Harfistka Elisabeth Plank, rojena na Dunaju, je študirala harfo na Univerzi za glasbo na Dunaju pri Adelheid Blovsky-Miller in leta 2015 magistrirala z odliko. 2006. je debitirala kot solistka pri dunajski Hofburgkapelle. Je nagrajenka državnih in mednarodnih tekmovanj; leta 2014 je prejela nagrado ‘Young Celebrity Master’ švicarskega festivala HarpMasters.

    Kot solistka in komorna glasbenica je izvedla številne koncerte doma in v tujini (Musica Juventutis, Young Classic Europe, Harfistični festival v Riu, Svetovni harfistični kongres, Schönberg center, Festival Next Generation ...). 2017. je izšla njena solistična zgoščenka.

 

    Harfistka Tina Žerdin, rojena v Velenju, je leta 2008 z odliko zaključila magistrski študij na Univerzi za glasbo na Dunaju. V času študija je bila štipendistka Ministrstva za kulturo Republike Slovenije, po zaključku šolanja je od Univerze za glasbo na Dunaju prejela tudi nagradno štipendijo za izjemen študijski uspeh. Leta 2010 je za svoje raziskovalno delo, povezano z orkestrskimi parti za harfo skladatelja Richarda Wagnerja, prejela štipendijo Bayreuthskega štipendijskega sklada.

    Veliko nastopa doma in v tujini kot solistka in solistka z orkestri. Je članica različnih komornih ansamblov, soloharfista Dunajskega komornega orkestra, Synchron stage orkestra in Orkestra dunajske akademije ter redna gostja v orkestru dunajske Državne opere ter drugih orkestrov na Dunaju. Leta 2014 je kot soloharfistka gostovala tudi v Orkestru milanske Scale. Veliko se posveča izvajanju slovenske glasbe za harfo. Krstno je do sedaj izvedla dela Tomaža Bajžlja, Igorja Dekleve, Brine Jež Brezavšček, Janija Goloba, Aleša Strajnarja, Iva Petrića in Gregorja Pompeta, poustvarila slovenske praizvedbe del Slavka Šuklarja, Tomaža Sveteta in Jaka Puciharja. Je avtorica arhivskih posnetkov solistične in komorne literature na Radiu Slovenija, avstrijskem ORF ter na zgoščenkah Založbe kaset in plošč RTV Slovenija ter avstrijske založbe Usha records.

    The Ensemble airborne extended was founded 2013 as an enlargement of the Ensemble airborne – in order to play repertory for harp, harpsichord, flute and recorders/Paetzold, which had been written already in 1992 for the Italian Ensemble Alter Ego.     Sonja Leipold, harpsichord, born in Villach, studied flute and piano at the Mozarteum Salzburg, and harpsichord and basso continuo at the University of Music Vienna. Focusing on early and contemporary music, she regularly performs as a soloist, basso continuo-player and with her own ensembles at renowned concert festivals all over Europe and Asia. She was awarded by the Austrian ministry of culture (for her programme “perspectives of the harpsichord”), was prize-

winner at the international harpsichord competitions Bologna 2011, Fidelio 2012, Annelie de Man 2012 (den Bosch/contemporary harpsichord).

    In 2013 she was awarded a fellowship both for her research in baroque music and for her contribution to contemporary harpsichord repertoire and founded the ensemble „les roses sauvages“, which performs music by female composers of the 17th and 18th century. In 2016/17 her “duo ovocutters” (harpsichord-accordion) is official Austrian cultural ambassador for contemporary music. Sonja Leipold works as an accompanist and chamber music teacher at ITAM Linz (with Emma Kirkby), Austra Baroque Academy, ISA Vienna, and Theater an der Wien (with N. Harnoncourt), participated in film- and CD-productions and also appears with orchestras and Ensembles like dolce risonanza, capella Leopoldina, Vienna Symphony Orchestra, Wiener Kammerorchester. In 2017 Sonja Leipold is also member of the executive committee of ISCM Austria and since 2015 she teaches at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.

    Eva Leonie Fegers (b. 1987, Mönchengladbach) has been passionate about music from a young age. She began to study the recorder at the age of 5, and later also studied the piano, violin, viola, flute and singing. From 2007 to 2012 she studied with Dorothee Oberlinger at the Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg, graduating with Bachelor degrees with distinction in recorder and in instrumental and vocal pedagogy. In 2013 she started her studies with Carsten Eckert at the Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst. She graduated in 2017 with a Diplom in recorder performance with distinction.

    Eva has won prizes at a number of competitions and has a strong commitment to chamber music and is a member of several early and modern music ensembles, including Organic Opera, which concentrates on the music of the sixteenth and seventeenth century, and the recorder quartet, Golden Square, which focusses on the English renaissance consort repertoire.

    Eva has performed as a soloist with ensembles such as the Hofkapelle Münich, Ensemble 1700, La Folia Barockorchester and the Tonkünstlerorchester Niederösterreich. She has taken part in masterclasses with, amongst others, Walter van Hauwe, Han Tol, Paul Leenhouts, Lorenzo Cavasanti, Kees Boeke, Matthias Weilenmann, Reinhard Goebel and Trevor Pinnock.

Eva teaches recorder at the Johann Sebastian Bach Musikschule Wien, where she is also responsible for the training of particularly talented students.

 

    Doris Nicoletti, born in Graz/Austria, studied flute at the J.M.Hauer-Conservatory Wiener Neustadt and the University of Music in Vienna and at the CNSMDL in Lyon (Erasmus). She attended several academies like the Lucerne Festival Academy (Pierre Boulez), Centre Acanthes, Ensemble Modern Academy, Darmstädter Ferienkurse, Impuls- International Ensemble Academy, Jeunesse Modern and took part in masterclasses with outstanding flutists. Besides being founding member of Ensemble Platypus (Vienna), Ensemble Mesostics (Paris), Ensemble of the Lucerne Festival Alumni (Switzerland) and Duo Soufflé (Vienna) she is performing in different Orchestras and chamber music formations. As a substitue in the Klangforum Wien and Ensemble PHACE she played concerts at Lincoln Center New York, Berliner Philharmonie, Konzerthaus

Berlin, Konzerthaus Wien and at renowned festivals such as Salzburg Festival, Easter Festival Hamburg and Wien Modern. Since 2014 she has a lectureship for flute at the University of Music and Performing arts Vienna.

 

    Harpist Elisabeth Plank, born in Vienna, has studied harp at the Musikuniversität Wien with Adelheid Blovsky-Miller, 2015 she did her Master-exam with distinction. 2006 she had her debut as an orchestra-soloist in the Wiener Hofburgkapelle and is price-winner at national and international competitions. 2014 she got the „Young Celebrity Master“-Award of the „HarpMasters“ Festival/Switzerland. She has played numerous concerts as a soloist and chamber-musician in Austria and abroad (u.a. Musica Juventutis, Young Classic Europe, Rio Harp Festival, World Harp Congress, Schönberg Center, Festival Next Generation).

  

    Harpist Tina Žerdin (born in Velenje, Slovenia) finished with honour degree her Masters studies in concert harp at the University of Music Vienna (2008). She was awarded with the scholarship of Ministry of Culture of Republic of Slovenia and of the University of Music Vienna as well as for her artistic and scientific work on the role of harp in Richard Wagner’s operas a Bayreuth Festival–scholarship.

    She performs a lot at home and abroad, as a soloist, soloist with orchestras. She is also a member of various chamber music ensembles and a solo-harpist of Vienna chamber orchestra, Synchron stage orchestra and of the original-sound orchestra “Wiener Akademie”, collaborates regularly with Wiener Volksoper, Wiener Staatoper and other orchestras in Vienna. In 2014 she also played as a guest-solo harpist in Theatro alla Scala in Milano, Italy.

    Tina Žerdin collaborates with Slovenian composers, works by J. Privšek, S. Šuklar, J. Golob, G. Pompe, B.Jež and T. Bajželj are dedicated to her. She made many recordings for Radio Slovenia and ORF.
