Regulations on the music audition for bachelor’s degree programmes of Musical arts and Music education

How to apply?

Candidates must apply for enrolment in the bachelor's degree programmes online, using the application form on the eVŠ web portal.

Entry exam (audition) (PGUN):

To enroll, you must pass an entrance test of musical talent and knowledge (PGUN). You can read the PGUN rules here.

For Music arts enrollment (candidates without completed art high school Module A, B, C in Ljubljana, Maribor, Celje, Velenje or Koper) and Music Education enrollment an entrance test of music-theoretical subjects is obligatory. 

Please note that for prior education obtained abroad RECOGNITION OF FOREIGN EDUCATION must be made before the enrollment.

Candidates requiring an official piano accompanist for their audition must indicate this on their application form and are obliged to submit their programme accordingly. At least one month prior to the audition, candidates must provide the sheet music for their programme in PDF format, sending it to both korepeticije@ag.uni-lj.si and referat@ag.uni-lj.si.

Audition schedule will be announced here few days before the audition.
Audition will take place at the Academy of Music, Kongresni trg 1, Ljubljana and Vegova 5/Gosposka 8, Ljubljana.

Application deadlines and audition dates:

* Candidates for enrollment according to the transition criteria must send the documentation no later than May 1, 2024.

** In the second application period, on 3 and 4 September 2024, applicants who have a decision on the recognition of foreign education issued in the first application period at the University of Ljubljana this year and are not enrolled after the selection procedure in the first application period, may apply for the still vacant enrolment slots. In addition to these, applicants who meet one of the following conditions may also apply: • who have a decision on the recognition of foreign secondary education issued before 2005, • who have an International Baccalaureate or European Baccalaureate Diploma, • who completed secondary education in the SFRJ before 25 June 1991, • who have a decision on the recognition of foreign secondary education issued by other universities and independent higher education institutions in Slovenia with permanent validity. Free places will be announced in late August 2023 on the website of the Higher Education Application and Information Service: http://portal.evs.gov.si/prijava/.

Informing about audition schedule: The applicants will receive the audition schedule and all other information in May 2024.

The audition results of 1st enrollment period will be announced in July 2024.

* Enrollment for parallel study, places for graduates and places for criteria for transfers is possible in 1. enrolement period.
** Full-time study for graduatesis is possible with tuition only!
*** Candidates which have already repeated a year or changed study programe may enroll for full-time study but will have to pay tuition fee.


MUSICAL PEDAGOGY

* Enrollment for parallel study, places for graduates and places for criteria for transfers is possible in 1. enrolement period.
** Full-time study for graduatesis is possible with tuition only!
