Domenico Scarlatti (1685-1757)
Domenico Scarlatti was born in Naples on October 26, 1685 and was an Italian musician and composer of the Baroque era. He studied first with his father, Alessandro Scarlatti, and later, in Venice, with Francesco Gasparini.Leaving Naples in the following years Domenico lived in Florence, Rome and then in Venice, where he completed his studies and came into contact with Antonio Vivaldi and George Frideric Handel. Between 1709 and 1714 Scarlatti was appointed Master of chapel of the Queen Maria Casimira in Rome and, from 1714 to 1719, had a similar assignment in San Pietro. In 1738 he published in London a collection, entitled "Exercises for harpsichord", containing 30 of his 555 sonatas that have come to this day. Domenico Scarlatti died in Madrid on 23 June 1757.

Gene Koshinski (1980)
“Jaw-dropping virtuosity and a flair for the unexpected” (PBS) is why Gene Koshinski has delighted audiences worldwide with his dynamic performances and creative programming. Best known for his extraordinary versatility as a percussion artist/composer, Koshinski has just accepted a new position as Professor of Percussion at the University of Delaware beginning fall 2020. He has performed in Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, China, France, Germany, Japan, Jordan, Slovenia, the UK, Canada, and throughout the United States; including over 120 guest performances/lectures at some of the most prestigious institutions in the world. As a composer, his works have been used in film, art museums, and ballets, and in the concert hall have been performed in more than 40 countries, in 5 continents, with hundreds of performances per year. His performances have been heard on the CBS, PBS, ESPN and TBS/TNT television networks, as well as NPR, and he has recorded for the Naxos, Innova, Centaur, MSR Classics, and Equilibrium record labels. He is sponsored by Pearl/Adams, Sabian, Remo, and Innovative Percussion.

David Friedman (1944)
David Friedman (born March 10, 1944, New York, United States) is an American jazz percussionist. His primary instruments are vibraphone and marimba. Friedman studied drums in the 1950s, then marimba and xylophone in the 1960s at Juilliard. In the 1960s he was a member of the New York Philharmonic and the pit orchestra of the Metropolitan Opera, and worked as a jazz musician with Wayne Shorter, Joe Chambers, Hubert Laws, Horace Silver, and Horacee Arnold in the 1970s. He and Dave Samuels played together in drum workshops before starting a project in 1975, called The Mallet Duo. They also assembled a quartet called Double Image during the years 1977-1980. Friedman later worked with Daniel Humair and Chet Baker, and taught at the Manhattan School of Music and in Montreux in the 1970s.
Matej Bonin (1986)
Matej Bonin, born in 1986 in Koper, graduated in composition from the Ljubljana Academy of Music under the mentorship of Prof. Uroš Rojko. He is currently continuing his studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz, where he studies music theatre composition in the class of Prof. Beat Furrer. His musical studies abroad are supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia. He collaborates with renowned international soloists and ensembles (Ensemble Modern, violist Megumi Kasakawa, the RTV Symphony Orchestra, the Savasa Trio, the Drumartica Percussion Duo, the Slowind Quintet, neuverBand, Ensemble MD7, and many others). Matej Bonin is also active as a composer of music for dance theatre and collaborates with choreographers Mirjam Klebel and Tomaž Simatovic.

Federica Lo Pinto (1997)
Federica Lo Pinto, born in 1997 in Trieste, graduated from the music high school in Koper, where she studied accordeon with prof. Erika Udovič Kovačič. Since 2015 she is studying composition and music theory at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana, under the mentorship of prof. Uroš Rojko. She is also enrolled in 6th year of solo singing in the class of Andrej Makor at the primary music school in Koper. For many years she has been a member of various choirs with which she regularly participates in national and international competitions. From 2014 to 2016 she was the music director's assistant in the vocal ansamble Vocal Drops. Since last year she is conducting a children's choir named Vesela Pomlad, which translates to "Happy Spring".
