Calling all Violin and Viola Players

Come and have one of your finest musical experiences with

Vacation Chamber Orchestras this summer.

Based in North Yorkshire, VaCO is running another amazing chamber orchestra course from 27 August – 31 August, 2009, culminating in 5 evening concerts.

Vacation Chamber Orchestras is a training orchestra that offers talented young players invaluable musical experience and an opportunity to acquire essential skills before entering the music profession. Players are drawn from major conservatoires and universities in Britain, and overseas.

Repertoire for the summer course is to include the Brahms A major Serenade, Wagner’s Siegfried Idyll and Doppler’s Andante and Rondo for two flutes and strings. There will be expert string tutoring from Stephen Orton, principal cellist with the Academy of St Martin in the Fields.

This is what a VaCO member had to say about his experience on a previous course:

“This was the most enjoyable, fun and friendly course I have been on, and it was made all the more special by the people that were on it! It is certainly something I would do again and something that I hope keeps happening for many years to come,” Michael Segaud, principal viola, EVaCO, Summer 2008.

Cost of course is a very reasonable £150. To find out more information, please visit us at www.vaco.net where you can apply online.

Yours sincerely,

The VaCO Team
